The purpose of this proposal is to provide Operation IceBridge with the support of the Airborne Topographic Mapper (ATM) team for the planned near term data collection and processing activities within the Project. Work proposed here will be done by the PIs, assisted by a team of URS (formerly EG&G;) and Sigma Space contractors who have extensive experience acquiring, processing, and quality-checking ATM data over ice and land. In addition to our extensive experience with acquiring, processing, and analyzing ATM data, [Krabill et al, 2002] we have used inter-comparisons of ATM and ICESat data for ICESat validation [Martin et al., 2005; Thomas et al., 2006(a)] and ice-sheet research [Krabill et al., 1999; 2000; 2004, Thomas et al., 2004(a); 2006(b); 2008].
