This proposal will be for continuing observations at the NDACC sites at Thule, GL and at Mauna Loa, Hawaii. Fourier transform spectrometers will be used at each site to record high resolution infrared absorption spectra of the atmosphere with the sun as the source. Operations at the sites will be nearly autonomous. The resulting spectra will be analyzed to produce column amounts of a number of gases important to stratospheric and tropospheric chemistry and to radiative transfer in the atmosphere. Low resolution vertical profiles will be produced for some constituents. Measurements from Thule will build on the high quality data record (since 1999) from that site. Operations at Mauna Loa will be brought up to NDACC standards with instrument upgrades and application of the latest constituent retrieval codes.
